Milwaukee | Clothing shoot

Brief

A clothing shoot for Milwaukee Tools wasn’t necessarily something we were expecting to be doing for them, but it was an exciting and challenging shoot to complete. Milwaukee had a number of new items coming out that needed plain white backgrounds to be suitable for the website. Pushing them to a standard similar to ASOS, Boohoo and other online clothing retailers. With this they had a brief of 5 or 6 definite images they needed. Boxes of items and products, and our expertise and efficiencies to work through them all in a day. The products ranged from hats, neck scarves to t shirts, thermals and heated jackets.

Our
solution

Whilst there was a large volume of products to work through, we had set out a schedule and timeline for the day. Mainly to keep us on track to ensure we deliver the expected amount of photos, but also for Milwaukee and the models. This turned out to be important when certain items had creases and needed to be ironed. We were able to be flexible and switch these items for others so we didn’t losing time or momentum. The early part of the day is the heavy lifting part where lighting, positioning and the settings are all laid out for the day. This then allows us to work through the clothing along with the angles and style of shots we’ve been briefed on capturing.

As an extra we provided a behind the scenes video along with this photo shoot.

Outcome

The feeling at the end of the clothing shoot was great. We exceeded expectations from Milwaukee because we finished everything in a time they didn’t think was possible. With that, we had shot extra angles providing additional options for a number of products. We had 100+ edited images produced and ready for them to upload to their portals. The models enjoyed working with our team and the studio. All in all a huge success, albeit we now know to bring a steam iron as a back up.

We were happy with all the styling for the images as provided. The shoot went so smoothly with us finishing all products earlier than anticipated. That is thanks to the team. We also had the bonus of receiving a behind the scenes video of the shoot, which was great.
