Milwaukee | Packout product shoot
Brief
A Packout product shoot required some very challenging logistics for us and Milwaukee. None more challenging than the location, which was a construction site with high level security, limited space and time available. However, we love a challenge. It meant our planning had to be meticulous to ensure we could get in, set up, changeover products and leave with the images the client needed. The brief was to capture individual and group shots of their new packout wall in a complete set up environment. The editing had to match their existing imagery in terms of colour, tone, brightness and contrast.
Our
solution
We had a day to complete this shoot, which quite early in the recce day we realised two would be better. Not because of the content we had to capture, but because of the limitations within the location slowing preparation and access down before we could even get the camera on it. When we did, it took some time to get all of the small elements right. This was our contacts first shoot in his new role with Milwaukee so he needed everything perfect. We provided a tether so he could view images in real time on a bigger screen. This allowed instant feedback and tweaks. We also managed to find the correct editing grade reducing time in the final edit. You can see this unfold here.
Whilst not everything went to plan, we as the Production team were happy with what we had captured. Our contact anticipated being able to get through more so after the shoot was done he was left a little disappointed with the location and logistics side of the day. We knew we had enough to deliver beyond his expectation however.
Outcome
The outcome for the Packout product shoot was brilliant. Our images ended up on point of sale across Europe. Something that our contact couldn’t see at the time of the challenges we were facing. We as a team remained calm and were proven correct in our reassurances to him because we produced some fantastic content during the day. The editing process took longer initially as we had to ensure we were creating a template that was on brand with the colour, tone and contrast. Once we had nailed this, we applied it to the specified images. Those images can be seen across marketing material for the new Packout product range.
